The Buy Local campaign team needs your help to spread the word to our community members about the benefits of buying local.  The messaging starts with you!  Before you go out and shop in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Las Vegas, think about the essential neighborhood services that rely on the sales tax for funding such as education, parks and recreation, law enforcement, health, and emergency services.

Consumers

There are many ways to get involved with this campaign. For starters, talk to your friends, families, and co-workers about this campaign. Use the "Tell Others" link at the top of the page to help us spread the word. For those who are using social media, we've created a Facebook fan page. If you are using Twitter, please use the hashtag: #whyibuylocal in the conversations you have with your connections.

But most importantly, SHOP in your particular locality.   Think local.  Buy local.

Retailers

We know the challenges you face, which is why we created this campaign. Help us spread the word by asking your local chamber to participate by being proactive in the media and be available as a distribution point for marketing kits. If you are a mall merchant, ask your Mall's general manager to participate in this campaign as well.

We will be posting a list of distribution points here as soon as we are ready with the marketing kits. This kit will include posters and window decals that promotes the Buy Local campaign and this website.

If you're on twitter, please use the hashtag #whyibuylocal when you have conversations about this campaign or with anything relating to buying at a local merchant's store. For example: "Just bought my car at {local dealer} - Great deal and customer service - that is #whyibuylocal".
